And while I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like him, who spends a lot time around incredible attractive teens, has an unhealthy attraction to them. In all fairness, he does have a wife, who is pretty attractive herself and not a teenage girl.
I think it's a combination of three things:
1.) Hollywood is a known breeding ground for pedos.
2.) A lot of /tv/ and 4chan users in general (like /r/starlets) all develop crushes on young, hot Nickelodeon/television stars like the Jennette McCurdy, Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, etc.
3.) Dan Schneider just so happens to produce a majority of the shows that many of these teen stars work on. And he's a fat, old creepy looking guy.
So /tv/ posters choose a Nick star as their waifu and see a picture of her with Dan Schneider. That ultimately leads to someone asking "how many kids do you think Schneider has fucked on his television shows." "Definitely McCurdy right."
It doesn't help that Schneider is very public (on social media) and a little touchy with the girls either. It allows people to say something like, "Hey look, Schneider is hugging Jennette. That sick fuck probably rails her out every night."
There's a good chance he's just a really nice guy who enjoys being around kids and friendly with his actors/actresses. But his life sucks because everyone -- even possibly his wife -- thinks he might be a pedo.
That being said, Hollywood is a horrible place for young women and men. If Schneider isn't a pedo, there's about a million other people in the industry that these kids interact with that are. Agents, producers, executives, other old actors, publicists. I shudder to think the torture many of these young people are put through to reach their dream (or their parents dreams).
It really is awful.
