When you're literally so small a being you're trying to communicate with can't even perceive you, intelligence means nothing. As far as figuring out how to communicate with the supposed intelligence, I didn't say they speak in light beams, I said they communicate in manipulation of light and space waveform that humans can't even detect or perceive. Doesn't matter how smart you are if you can't even perceive the the form of communication you're not building a radio.
I mean it is just a species I pulled out of my ass so there is no point in getting overly serious, but just consider that as a humans, we have incredibly low perception and detection range as far as light, sound, dimensions, etc... go. We don't even understand the universe within the scope of our perception yet, let alone the larger version. Set before a being that occupies a higher form of existence and whose communication utilizes vibrations of a six dimensional space as easily as our speech vibrates air mollecules, there is no intelligence, there is no understanding, the only thing you can do is find God and start praying that it doesn't end our known universe by speaking too itself too loudly.
Never forget, we're a spec before we're anything else.
