I had been running to make my way down to the station. I pulled out my phone and looked down at the screen. No message from Matt, weirdly enough. She thought to herself, "Guess I could've messaged him. I'm an idiot."
I turned a sharp corner and saw you standing at the entrance. When I saw you I took a step back to make sure I was out of view before putting my weight on my knees. I breathe heavily for a bit, attempting to recover from the run. Luckily, I hadn't sweated much, if it all, so I still looked fine. I fixed myself back up and walked over to you.
"Matt!" I called out as I moved your way. "Sorry, about being late. I swear I'm not always like this." I was lying, I was always like this, unreliable, especially at being on time.
I approach you and bring out a box of Pocky. "Want a piece?"
